I know this and I am aware of mencioned ilegitims "abandonware", also aware of a lot of "abandonware" Sites who offers this games, often with a little "gift" which you and your PC don't like. In other words, you are banking on lawyers not being around and interested in taking legal action, and I'm thinking that they very much are in this case, so I'm just going to say that freyk posting a direct download link in this forum, is a bit on the ballsy side. In the case of 3D Realms, they're a fairly big non-indie studio, and the company which purchased their rights are currently developing a game ("Graven", which is a followup to "Hexen", which is a very old IP). Setres 1920x1080, this will freeze the game after applying, close Dukeforever.exe process using Task Manager, then restart the game, it will run 1920x1080 windowed.Abandonware is a legal gray area which ranges from legit abandoned rights, to pirates trying to excuse themselves. Once you get to the Menu, press F12 to open the console, and use Unreal Engine Console commands. Run dukeforever.exe, it should open a XP window, and the cinematic should play along with the megadeth version of the Duke theme. Then goto system folder in October 26, find Duke Forever.exe, goto properties, Compatibility, and set it to Xp Service Pack three. In October 26, there will be a Bat file, megabuild.bat, Run that, compiles the game. Goto the Patches folder, copy the contents of Megapatch and D3DWrapper to October 26 Folder

Once you're done you'll have three file folders and a BUILDIN G.txt Forever.2001-x0r_ is the start of the RAR file archive, extract it to DNF2001 folder.

You'll end up with a list of RAR's, readme, and a SFV file.ĭuke.Nukem.

Forever.2001-x0r_ jmp.rar to a new folder you make called DNF2001 in the root of the drive.

Un-rar the files to a dukefolder (not your C:\ drive)
